Smartphones Make The Top 10 Christmas Sellers
For the 3rd year in a row smartphones have made it into the top 10 most purchased Christmas gifts agin. The number one electronic gift this year was the Apple iPad, followed closely by the Apple iTouch which is a smaller version of the iPad.

But the big news that should concern business owners is that smartphones, cell phones with multi-media and Internet capabilities, have once again secured a solid spot in the top 10 gifts for the Christmas 2010 sales season.

Currently smartphones occupy about a 68% share of the most used type of cell phones, but industry analysts predict that the Christmas 2012 season smartphones will dominate the cell phone market with an estimated usage of 95%.

One of the biggest reasons why cell phones and smartphones have been so popular is the ever increasing usage of text messaging and Internet browsing among the 20-35 age group and college age students.
